Media and Outreach Activities

20.8. ADB Media and Communications Team

  1. The ADB media and communications team at the Annual Meeting, comprising DOC staff, will operate and manage all media and communications activities from the Media Center. The DOC team
    • coordinates all ADB-related media events
    • informs journalists about events to cover
    • updates them on any changes in the program
    • facilitates media interviews with ADB Management, senior staff, and speakers
    • organizes press conferences and media briefings for ADB Management for senior staff
    • prepares news releases and news briefs
    • oversees the activities of the DMC Journalists Knowledge-Sharing Program
    • promotes the Annual Meeting through social media
    • writes ADB President's speeches
    • provides information materials
    • handles press inquiries
    • coordinates multimedia production during the Annual Meeting
    • manages all broadcast and media interview areas, including the overall coordinator for the ADB President's press conference room
  2. The team coordinates closely with the host country Media and Communications focal point, whose on-site tasks include confirming and accrediting bona fide journalists registering onsite and handling requests of local journalists for media interviews with host country officials.
