20.5. Video and Multimedia Content

  1. ADB would like to use every possible opportunity during the Annual Meeting to highlight its mission to fight poverty in Asia and the Pacific through photos and multimedia material. This may range from screening of ADB's corporate video just before the start or during the opening session, to the uploading of multimedia products to the website, and to the distribution of multimedia packages or PSAs to broadcasters.
  2. Select video, webcast, and other multimedia products will also be aired on a loop using IPTV screens strategically placed inside the venue of the Annual Meeting. The Host country sources the supplier of these screens and the management of them onsite by suitably qualified technical staff. Details of the technical requirements  of the IPTV system can be found in Chapter 11. Information and Conference Technology.
  3. The host country is responsible for operating the digital screens in high-traffic areas around the venue. ADB creates and manages all of the content and assists in the overall planning and deployment of the IPTV screens. The locations of the screens are identified by ADB and the Host country.
  4. Content of high-quality editorial and technical standards adds to the overall branding of the event, and enhances the experience of delegates. Thus, it is important to maintain high quality videos and multimedia materials. If the host country wants to provide video content for these screens, the following are simple guidelines for video content for the Annual Meeting:
    • All videos should not exceed more than four minutes.
    • Videos should be relevant to the topics discussed during the Annual Meeting.
    • Daily wrap-up videos or photo sequences are included in the loop the morning of the next day, not at the end of each day.
    • Cultural videos that highlight the city and the Host country are shown on appropriate screens only (tour desks, information centers), but not throughout the IPTV system.
    • Videos about corporate sponsors or partners are not shown through the IPTV nor are they uploaded to the ADB website.
    • DOC clears video content in coordination with relevant Host country focal points.
