16.9. Trains and Subway

1.   The host country may provide train or subway passes to all participants, valid for the duration of the meeting
   For host countries with reliable and secure train or subway systems, the option of using trains or subways to transport participants to and from the meeting venue(s), hotels, and other official venues may be considered. In such cases, the host country may provide train or subway passes to all participants, valid for the duration of the meeting. A sample subway pass and train coupon is in Appendix 113.
2. Appropriate signs and maps in English should be visibly posted at the train station. The train and subway schedules are also made available to participants and in each official hotel. In addition, the host country assigns locally engaged staff to the train station to assist and direct participants to the meeting venue and hotels.
3. A contingency plan should also be presented for if the transport system is delayed or stops because of reasons outside of the host country or ADB’s control.
