16.6. Transport Routes

1.  Back ups and alternate routes should be included in the planning.
   The host country should determine the shortest and most convenient routes for the cars and shuttle buses. They should advise if any parades or celebrations will be taking place along the proposed routes at any time during the Annual Meeting. If so, they need to provide alternative routes, provide maps for participants and brief all drivers on any detour. 
2. In some countries where inclement weather might provide a challenge (e.g. flooding), back ups and alternate routes should be included in the planning.
